It's really bigger on the inside...

I really must catch up on the current season of Doctor Who, but I

1.) don't have cable, and
2.) can't find the time.

I adore Craig Ferguson's late night show, but I've found that I'm getting a little too old to stay up and watch it.  Don't judge me.  You try corralling two kids all day and a husband who refuses to go to bed because it's his time off and he's a grown up now and doesn't want to (in exactly that pouty voice you're thinking).  But all the same, isn't that sad?  I used to be able to stay up all night watching Saturday Night Live, and The Tonight Show, maybe catch a little Dr. Madblood, but now, as soon as 9pm hits, my eyelids start to droop.  I know my parents (whom I love dearly) clock out at 8pm sharp every night, so at least I'm still ahead of the game there.  Thank you YouTube for letting me pretend that I'm not that old yet (and enabling me to weed through all the commercials too).  So this morning I checked out the latest Doctor, Matt Smith, on the Late Late Show from last night.  Did you know that he's actually the youngest actor to play The Doctor?  And he's not that bad looking either (eyebrows waggling)!

As much as I love Matt Smith though, I will forever be a David Tennant fan.  Found this wonderful tribute video to the much loved Tenth Doctor.

Of course I found more videos to watch as I was browsing.  You can't click on one YouTube video and not click on more (they're like potato chips, I swear).  I may have to break down and build this somewhere in my house.  I wonder if my husband would go for it...

In the meantime I may have to try my hand at this Instructable by caitlinsdad.  We do have a lot of books...do you think I could make it bigger on the inside somehow???

Clicking on the picture should take you to the link.
You know what, Doctor Who is just awesome.  I'm even considering making a Dalek costume accompanied by a mini Dalek (a la Lily) this Halloween.  Alex could even go as the Ninth Doctor complete with a sonic screwdriver (he could TOTALLY pull it off)!  Izzy would mostly likely defect though as she's already told me she wants to go as Hermione (from Harry Potter), or Hinata (from Naruto). Oh well, you can't always win, right?

Oh!  I may have to make this as well.  I think a larger lifesize version for the garden outside would be awesome!!!

Or maybe one of the Weeping Angels the author made as well!!!
In reality though, I'm more likely to make one of these, for my own birthday no less.

Click on the image above to see how the lovely Barbara Jo did it!
It even lights up!  Squee!!!!!
